Trying to do some more tags. They’re awesome once you get the hang of it. Not sure I do yet….but if you see say, Keisha Campbell…wow…that woman is amazing w/tags and layouts! A visit to her blog is always inspiring.

tag2

Nevertheless…here’s my attempts on some real simple tags…using stuff from Prima…here – flutterbits and tile…

tag3

My favorite Yuki-stamp set….embossed…

tag4

And a more elaborate one, yet simple…love the “charms” dangling, and the flowers used here…yuki1

I also did a layout I was happy with while creating, but now that I look at it afterwards..hm….well, I thought it was prettier while I was working with it! Ever had that feeling?? :/

(at least I enjoyed creating :D)

yuki2

Love the wooden buttons…! This one is from the doodle deux-collection… the papers are from both the doodle deux and Yuki-collections.

yuki3

See that stamped flower? This cling mount stamp set from yuki is by far my favorite stamp-set these days!

yuki4

Ahwell.

Hope your weekend was enjoyable!

~~ Cards! ~~

Posted by Ania On Friday, April 27, 2012 0 lovely comments

My feelings for cards goes up and down. Right now I feel more annoyed because the cards these days never turn out the way I envision them….the ideas seem cuter, bolder, cooler..more wholesome… in my head…but doesn’t really translate into paper…sigh

Nevertheless…taste differs, maybe someone out there thinks these cards are alright (please, just don’t hold these against me!)

april_card2

First out; two cards for Maya Road…the above one created w/the scallop frames and the coffee or tea miniset (love this one!). Papers from Authentique. Letters from Prima, and love the effect of using iridescent glitter upon the patterned paper…so pretty (and so hard to photograph!) .

mr_april1

Here’s a card created w/the trim zippers and the kraft journaling tags. The large houndstooth-numbers are from Pink Paislee.

nikkicard1

And then we have the cards for Glue Arts – the two first ones with papers from Nikki Sivils.

nikkicard2raisens1

And finally a card w/Hambly Screenprints transparency, rangers enamel accents and stamp from Paper Smooches.

Mmkay. Work calls!

~~ Happy Birthday, Amalie! ~~

amaliebday2

Today’s someones birthday.

amaliebday3

Little Miss Sunshine. This sunshine.

amaliebday1

Seven years old. She can now read – ever so slowly, spelling her way through the words – faster and faster. She can now write – ever so slowly, spelling her way through the words – faster and faster. She loves poems, and right now she (and for quite a while at that) wants to become a writer when she grows up. Either a poet, or a photojournalist. She loves Minecraft, Star Wars, Selena Gomez and generally speaking – she loves quite a lot of things. When she plays, she often has this playtime-accent (Østlandsk spoken in a pretentious way!)

Happy birthday, sweetiepie, enjoy your day!

It’s a…..LAYOUT!!!!

(Sorry. I’ll freely admit I miss layouts. “Well duh, just create more layouts dummy”, you may think. Sure. I dunno why I don’t do that more these days. Too many cards and other stuff to create! There I said it! Uuhhh…)

auten1

Nevertheless! Maya Road has a blog swap with Authentique, and I was sent some cute stuff from the Delightful-collection to work with. Cute collection, pretty girly and springy in an elegant, romantic and sweet way.

auten2

Love my borderpunches! Want…no…need more!

auten3

Love it when I manage to squeeze in a lot of trinkets and bits w/o it looking messy. This section doesn’t look too messy, does it?? Just about…right..! So there!

auten4

Love the pleated tulle in grey! Am also trying to use my gazillion stashed brads. Here’s one from…hm…err…Crate Paper methinks…quite possibly Fancy Pants Designs, though…hmmm….no…Crate…

autn_card1

Liked the papers enough to have to add a little card to this post. *Love* the chipboard-butterflies (and now I just discovered Maya Road actually make these in two different sizes! I only have one! Eeks..must fix!).

Nevertheless. Here’s my post where you can get more details on how the layout was created and what stuff I used (for those interested), and here’s the MR post explaining the giveaway!!

~~ Starry babycard ~~

Posted by Ania On Saturday, April 14, 2012 0 lovely comments

tormod

I love making babycards!! One thing I always add into mine (in like, 90% of the babycards), are the baby onesie motifs from Hambly Screenptints. One sheet of trancparency goes a loooong way I tell you! (well, either the onesies, or the cute elephants…for babycards, that is. Must have!)

tormod_cu1

Apart from the transparency, all the other stuff seen here are from Prima. And I so love their starburst-vinerank! I need to get more of these, they’re perfect for the baby and/or toddler-cards – cool and funky and pretty! See the pretty resin-bird? Colored it w/pan pastels…you can also see the pan pastels on the resist canvas on the background…added pan pastels, then sprayed all over with iridescent gold mist – that made the colors more pastellike and pretty!

tormod_cu2

Love that cornerpunch, and mixed some glitter drops with say it in crystals randomly on the background.

While I’m here sharing Prima stuff – heard the news?

  • It’s time for the annual DT search over at Prima….while it’s hard believing it’s been a year already, it’s a thrilling time…I remember waiting and waiting for the DT call to kick off every year, haha. So – best of luck to those of you who’ll apply. They’re a wonderful company to work with, a huge huge pleasure – and they do search for scrappers with all kind of styles and talents – that’s what I love with them. You know their team will be able to display a huge array of different styles. Here’s the link to the DT call w/info!
  • It’s also time for the Prima mid-release, with some completely not-before-shown embellishments. Here’s a link to their FB-page w/peek *and* a giveaway on the new stuff!

Enjoy your weekend!

~~ Happy Easter Inspiration! ~~

Oy! Happy Easter!
easteregg4
What’s Easter without the eggs and stuff?
easteregg5
I only got two of these eggs made for this year, but I am so gonna make more for next Easter! First time doing these eggs, so had to sort of test the waters and stuff. Hard to see, but added these fluffy flocked rub-ons to the surface, originally intended to add some distress paint too but forgot, ahwell. Think I’d want to add more texture to the surface next year!
easteregg3
Made this one for my little sis. Wish someone would make me one too!
Made this one with Prima stuff only. More Easter inspiration from the other Prima-girls can be found here by the way.
egg2
But alas. I’ll have to stick to my open half eggs. Open egg = more inviting by the way. And easier to empty. Way too easy…
egg3
This egg was made by decoupaging vintage sheets of paper and whitewashing it and adding stuff from Maya Road, by the way.
egg4
You can find the instructions here, although really, this egg is so very easy to whip up.

I even made a couple Easter cards, for Glue Arts! Instructions found here.
card2a
Psst. There’s an Easter Egg hunt on the Glue Arts blog atm, for a promocode for 20% off your online purchase of GA adhesives, good April 7th-8th. Just in case you’re buying GA-adhesives anyways – then twenty percent off is sweet, hm? (I love bargains and am kicking myself atm for not remembering that I wanted to try out the moroccan oil hair stuff when one of these websites selling the brand actually had 15% off these flasks just a few days ago. They’re rarely put out for sale, sorta. Grr!)
ania_box2
Right. The final Easter inspo piece for this year…this little box made w/prima stuff. I really didn’t quite know what to do w/these birds nest stuff, as it’s quite dimensional for card/layout use (for my taste anyways).
ania_box3
But as a topper on these box? Amazing! perfect! :)
ania_box1
Riiight!
Guess that’s it for now.
:)

Psst.  Mediterranean France. Any tips or ideas as to where to stay or go? Or eat? I’ve become quite obsessed as to plan in advance where to eat to ensure we’re going to places w/restaurants worth trying out, haha (but really, it sucks when you’re going somewhere special and only have so and so many days/tries to try out the local cuisine…you want to make sure you hit the jackpot every time then, sorta). Right. ‘Nuff rambling :)

~~ Of boxes and cards ~~

It’s Easter and I’m so gonna spend it scrapbooking, watching Doctor Who episodes with the kiddo and very much possible do a hike or two! And oh, sleep in. Lots of sleep in! (I cherish the time spent sleeping!)
Nevertheless. Here’s a box I made, using a Martha Stewart-template (found here), the craft knife by Ingvild Bolme (best craft knife I’ve ever used, hands down…I’m not kidding!), papers from Crate Paper, an old ribbon from Fancy Pants and look at that cute lil bunny from Craft Origine! :)

spring_card
Another card made for Glue Arts using paper and embellishments from Prima, stamp from Craft Origine as well and hm bits and pieces from Sassafras and Maya Road.
spring_cu
I really adore the felt flowers…love the look!
march_box1
Another box, one just put together by scrap paper /Crate Paper) and created around a little gift for my niece. Stamp from Craft Origine, hmhm….love the chipboard butterflies from Sassafras….twine from The Twinery…brads from Crate Paper…
march_box2march_box3
That’s pretty much for now. I’ve been itching to scrapbook layouts lately, but never really got around to start – darn the Doctor Who-marathons that’s going on at home atm. But. Easter should mean more time off so I am SO gonna do at least one layout during this time!!

_DSC9767
Oh, did I mention? Gave in and purchased the Edge 80 optic for my LensBaby. Am totally loving it!! Great, fun toy so far!
 _DSC9837
Gives this fun fun tilt-shift feeling (like, miniature landscape)… am working on getting to know how the lens will tilt when rotated here and there and in what aperture and stuff…
_DSC9732
And yes, manual focus is totally killing me, I really ought to get my sight rechecked soon…?? Anyhow, one of the tip from the edge80-site was to bracket, bracket and bracket your shots when it comes to focus. Of course I read the tip after taking the cam out for a test drive, so I haven’t really applied that yet… Totally need to remember to do that…only….I love shooting the kids and the kids aren’t exactly really uh, still standing & patient, but hey, they give me the kind of challenge I need to crashlearn how to handle this tool, no? (I keep saying to myself anyways)
