Hum.

Seems like I left on a mini vacation without posting the rest of my FB-headers! =)

 

So. January. Taken at the same slope that I used to practice skiing and sledging at my childhood home (a very small/flat slope – perfect for small children :p).

For February I tested four different headers…only used one or maybe two of them though. These is the annual birthday party invitations photos slash look how big you’ve become portraits– Adrian turned twelve.

For March I used this one, an iPhone-photo of the kids and their cousin from one of our small hikes around the home.

 

This one’s for April – Amalie turned 8…

One for Easter…

May…taken at the bdayparty for Amalie…

Also May…taken during an assignment for the paper – doing a feature on bird spotters at Herdla.

For June I started off with the first header above, although I did consider the latter for a while…

 

Then wrapped up June with this one, also taken at Herdla.

July started with this header of Amalie and Kasper..

And I think I’ll stick to this one from the recent trip to Oslo for the rest of the month…

 

And for those wondering the exact measurements of the Facebook headers…it’s 851px x 315 px if you want to create premade headers …:)

Did I ever mention that time flies goddarn fast? Hm.

I’m trying to update my FB-headers twice a month. And I only now noticed that I forgot to add a new header for July. Sigh.

I don’t post much on FB. But I do like to post new headers…

Figured I’d share the old ones here as well…

 

March last year – the first one I did..(playing with my lensbaby for this one)..

April…taken outside our garden..

May..haha…

June - it’s of the Rhododendron in our garden.

Then there’s July, taken at the summer house…

August – the first month I had two different ones…both taken at the same place which lovers of Tour de France will recognize…

Then came September…we’re still in Southern France…

I love this photo, it’s actually taken during an assignment for work…

October…this is taken from DNS (The National Theatre here in Bergen), from a tour/play me and Amalie attended…this is the Sleeping Beauty. Ofcourse.

Then I got nostalgic when visiting my dear grandma and flipping through her photoalbums..

November – I stuck to one header this month – taken from our Christmas card photos…

Busy December had three different headers – this is Askøybrua, the bridge connecting the island I live at to the mainland.

At the annual torch march/Christmas march at school…

And finally, my usual Advent lights for December…made by ginger nut (gingerbread? ginger biscuits?).

Here’s a little brown bag filled with surprises for a co-worker of mine who needed a little cheer-me-up.

The stamps are from Craft Origine, adore these! Am also testing out new dew-shaped ink from Tsukineko (called Dew Drop I think..?) – got a few boxes with a number of these – and am very impressed by the performance of the ink & the colors.

 

I also tried to stretch my style & try a little bit of artjournalish stuff for a tag. Fun, but it’s like, just add random stuff… mist and gesso and then dry in between and add rubons and stamps and more gesso and more drying and ink and stuff… fun though!

Pretty much everything on this card is from Maya Road but the patterned papers.

Sort of feeling like that.

Today I figured I’d share a box, a card, and a layout with ya…

Let’s do the layout first, shall we…

This one’s for Maya Road, as you might have guessed from all the Maya Road-ish embellishments used here…. the backgroundpaper’s from ColorConspiracy….they have so many patterns that’s perfect as backgroundpaper – one-ish color yet interesting..sort of…:)

One – love the doily clear stamps – yields such gorg, crisp (im?)prints every single time. Two – kraft butterfly? Yesthankyouplease. Three – see the “bed” of ribbon/fabric that the cluster is attached to? That’s the organza tea garden trim which’s discontinued methinks, so if you see it – grab it.

Added a lil paperribbonthingie from American Crafts (Dear Lizzie).

I’m not one for huge flowers, but that yellow flower (Satin Scallop Edge)? Lovesit.

 

Right. Over to the card..

Love the elegance transparencies automatically gives (borrows?) to cards when used like this, as an extra folder…The transparency & paper here’s from ColorConspiracy-

Twine and dangling embellishments from Maya Road..

Cluster put together from random bits & pieces from Pink Paislee, Hambly, Maya Road, Heidi Swapp (red chipboard heart!! loved those!) and Prima.

Yeap. Really like the feel the transparency lends to the card. I tried to dot the piece of tulle by the way, didn’t turn entirely the way I wanted, but ahwell…

Gold glitter ftw!

And finally….a chocolate box. Papers and die cuts from ColorConspiracy, kraft butterfly from Maya Road.

It’s a simple box. Just a thinking-of-you-get-well-chocolate-box for a coworker of mine.

It was quickly put together, and well appreciated.

Almost caught up.

Work’s been keeping me busy as usual, and right now I’m engaged in a project building up & readying the paper I work for, for a new system coming this Fall. Then I’m off to another weeklong course - my 2nd of this years four courses. Then, when I’m back, I should be back to my regular, writing work-self (been away from my regular work for half a week now and it’s I’m so, so itching to do some real writing…eeks….). Not that anybody cares, but ah well… :)

:) Just sharing a couple cards made w/Craft Origine-stamps…love the wood mounted stamps – yields such gorg, crisp impressions! (oh and notice – I’m finally getting rid of my box of Heidi Swapp ghost stars! :D)

This stamp was also used on the 1st card btw – just inked & cut out the 1st banner sort of :)

Babyphotocards must have this onesie transparency cut out from Hambly! Also, hidden behind that is a gem studded heart trinket from Prima.

 

Btw, ColorConspiracy is soon coming out with a new release – Texturize 2.0. Loved the first one, love this one as well :)

Here’s a layout for ColorCOnspiracy.. w/photos of my sister and nephew…

I like the new papers from ColorConspiracy…they come w/patterns on the bottom tag or whatever it’s called. Yields more possibilities for the papers methinks :)

ColorConspiracy has cute die cuts as well, as seen above and below..

And the clouds were made by using the star punch (Martha Stewart everywhere on the page one) first then cutting out the cloud (w/the Fiskars cloud punch).

Well. I thought that looked somewhat nifty..
