~~ Suppose it’s soon Christmas.. ~~

With Christmas follows lots of Christmas looking stuff. I doubt I’ll create too many Christmassy project this year…but I suppose you gotta do a little Christmas, hm?

box8

Well, enter these matchboxes which’s the perfect hostess gift this Christmas…everybody needs some extra long matches to light up all the Christmas dinner lights and stuff…

box3

All the bits and pieces are from Maya Road…it’s easy to just grab whatever scrap that’s lying on your desk…

box4

And you may say hey, butterflies aren’t Christmassy. Well…they can be if you sprinkle cherry red glitter on them. Notice the Christmas tree on the spine. Clever, if I may say so myself….*smirk*

box5

The paper’s from a 6x6” pad of Authentique by the way. Handy size. Pretty traditional & Christmassy papers. And it’s even doublesided.

box6

Pretty pretty snowflake-chipboards adorned w/white paint & sparkly glitter :) Oh, and see the yellow stars? It’s apparently discontinued at Maya Road…booo! (ok, I’m pretty sure I’ve had it for a good long while now, but only until recently started to find more and more uses for these stars…dang, isn’t typical :/!)

box9

Pretty spines!

box7

Now peace out (oh ha.ha.ha.)

:)

~~ Merry Belated Christmas! & stuff… ~~

Posted by Ania On Tuesday, December 27, 2011 4 lovely comments
So. We sorta suck at doing the obligatory Christmas-greetingcards & stuff (Yes. Even if I do create stuff. Even though I do love receiving these – thank you so so very much!!!).
So this year we’re gonna start a new tradition (we think).

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Psst. Y’all able to see this vid? It’s sorta only available for those with the link, so I’m not sure if it works to display it like this on the blog…?

Ps2: Ok, apparently at least one couldn´t see it, not sure why..but here´s the directlink, it should work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEFGpiPyvaQ

2 posts in a row? Yeah,  I’m feeling pretty inspired atm…and because I had some gifts that needed to be done :p And because I’m still trying to clean up stuff…

aniabook3

Nevertheless…here’s a gift based on Wenches fab tutorial on how to make books

Materials used: papers from Pink Paislee, leaves & bling from Prima, wooden spool from Maya Road and stamps from Craft Origine (the words repertoire and carnet de notes plus the quill is from this stamp set).

aniabook4

As for the book-cover itself? Corrugated cardstock is simply perfect for this purpose :)

ania_dec

Here’s another gift using the food stamp from Craft Origine..it’s simple & once again I’m in love with the glimmermist-color “Patina” (which looks just the same as “Jazz Blue” imo) from tattered angels! So pretty against the white..

ania_dec1

Another gift-wrap created with mostly old, old stuff! The front flower (Prima) and the tag (3ndypapir) are new, but the paper-flowers (Prima), heart doily & ribbon are old stuff I’m happy to finally get to put to use :)

ania_dec2

Especially the ribbon…it’s sort of ugly, but it fit so well here, yay!

Right.

Still have a few more necessities to create, like a matchbox for myself for Christmas, a gift card for my daughter and some more tags for minor gifts…wrap up a few more minibooks for CHA… I’m starting to feel like I never get around to do layouts, but…need to get my priorities straight and get the smaller stuff done first!

Teehee…
so…there’s a Lawn Fawn partnership going on over at Glue Arts, which brings us to todays tags – pieced together with 3ndypapir-papers…for a step-by-step thingie on the tags (and chances to win both stamp & adhesive-sets) – feel free to drop by here.
aniaLF3aniaLF4
Ignore the darker splotches….sort of regret them the moment I added them to the tag, then reeeally regret it when washing away the glimmermist off the embossed snowflakes as it made it smudgy…ahwell. What can I say..I am imperfect ;p

Another gift-project..put together with Prima-stuff..trying to use some of the older stuff while impatiently waiting for the new stuff…*grin* *wink*
giftb
I really like this colorcombo – copper, red, gold and uhm, bright turquoise (?).
ania_bap1
Speaking of Prima..reminds me..don’t forget the December BAP (or PPP)…here’s a layout based on the BAP…sort of liked it when I made it, but as an afterthought I think the banners should be either placed more together, or had more flags layered in between the existing ones… ahwell!
ania_bap2
I really like the way the pennants were decorated though, with chipboard & wooden snowflakes (which I purchased at PACS in France a year ago..and hadn’t used until now! They’re pretty similar to the wooden snowflakes that Maya Road has btw if you happen to wonder how to get these). They’re covered with distress crackle paint..love the frosty, crackle effect!

And finally..I’ve shared these cards here and there, both at ScrappeHuset (see this post – and do comment for a chance at the BIG X-mas giveaway plus plenty of inspiration) and at the Maya Road-blog…might as well post these here!

Using 3ndypapir-papers & Maya Road stuff…

Using Prima stuff..

Once again – 3ndypapir & Maya Road stuff :)

Right. I *think* we’re actually done with all this years presents…just 2 or 3 more minor things to fix, yay us!
IMG_3684
The little one’s been toiling away creating lots and lots of amazing, creative gifts ever since November…at first doing mostly drawings, paintings and glass jars (like here) – but lately making things as shown at Art Attack..it’s darn amusing to watch her..and her eagerness is pretty adorable – she’s doing it all pretty much on her own, thinking of everybody in our family…cute…
IMG_3694
We’ve also miraculously got a Christmas-tree like, 10 days earlier than usual. Got a message from a friend the other day saying she & her hubby was helping their son’s school band selling X-mas trees…so I was like, sure, why not..need a tree sooner or later, why not buy it off a friend :) Besides, this way I could be a real bully & totally picky making them really work for the money *wink wink*
Right. Got a few more Christmas-related projects (I discovered I need matchboxes…apparently I’ve misplaced the one I had and well, need matches for Christmas!) to work on in between working on CHA-W projects….(funfun!)

Mm huge post incoming – apparently I did not share anything from my December Daily since Dec 11. I know, Christmas just isn’t that exciting when there’s been like, three weeks or so since it finally expired, but sometimes I have this OCD-urge when it comes to things I just have to get over with (like this DecDaily, I didn’t feel like I could scrap other things until I was finally done with this – which’s why the last few days looks a bit …simple :p), and since I forced myself to finish this I need to share it too :p

So, let’s just get it over with so we can move on to newer, fresher things, shall we?

decdaily12a

Dec 12 – with Crate Paper’s Snow Day :)

As usual, my pages are measuring 6x5” (6x9” when opened) and the numbers are all tags from Elle’s Studio.

decdaily12b

This was the last day in Oslo – the images are of me and my sis + my kids and her youngest girl.

decdaily13a

Simple one – with 3ndypapir :)

decdaily13b

Dec 13th stands for Santa Lucia, and as Amalie was among the oldest in the kindergarten she got to carry the light-crown. Big moment.

decdaily14a

14th – with a mix of Pink Paislee’s Mistletoe & Co and Father Christmas.

decdaily14b

The image was snapped during work at the local church.

decdaily15a

Fancy Pants Designs :)

decdaily15b

The baking of gingerbread documented.

decdaily16a

16th was created with Crate Paper & Snow Day once again..

decdaily16b

And was about work once again, this time at a different church – I was sent to snap a photograph of a church for the Christmas Eve issue of the newspaper.

decdaily17a

Hambly Screenprints! :)

decdaily17b

Decoration of the gingerbread & a little Santa’s Helper :)

decdaily18a

I truly love the mighty tones of Pink Paislee’s Mistletoe & Co – gorgeous..

decdaily18b

And I love documenting the kiddo reading :)

decdaily19a

Fancy Pants – love this bright, happy Winter collection “Frosted”! (Michelle Coleman is one of my fave FP productdesigners, love everything she designs for them. She has her own digistuff – Little Dreamers Designs – sometimes I do wish I did digistuff when I see the gorg stuff they put out)

decdaily19b

Just a touch of everyday – the whole family playing WoW :)

decdaily20a

3ndypapir..

decdaily20b

This day was fairly eventful, but I couldn’t fit in all the images. Lunch with girlfriends, appointment at the dentist and work in the evening.

decdaily21a

Fancy Pants Designs ..did I mention I love this cheery wintercollection?

decdaily21b

Big day – the day I took the youngest to the theatre to watch “Dyrene i Hakkebakkeskogen” – a wonderful play which I recall from when I was younger myself, and I loved watching her fall in love with the play and the music.

decdaily22a

Pink Paislee – Mistletoe & Co..

decdaily22b

Kiddo leaving a note about being out sledding, and paying mother in law a visit for dinner.

decdaily23a

23rd – Crate Paper and Snow Day.

decdaily23b

A long-ass day of waiting at the airport. Sigh. Left home at 1pm, arrived like an hour later – checked in…….waited, waited and waited (original departure was like 3pm).. when we finally boarded the plane at like 8-9pm we had to wait for another hour in the airplane before finally departing…arrived home at moms at 11pm :p

decdaily24a

Christmas Eve! (We celebrate Christmas Eve, not Christmas Day). Pink Paislee & a mix of Father Christmas and Mistletoe & Co.

decdaily24b

Mm kinda got bored of making dec dailys, so the last 4-5 days were very very simple – including Christmas Eve. Whatev, I did it and I’m so done with it for now! Smile with tongue out

Right!

There you have it, I did finish my Dec Daily, and I think I will follow the advice about finding a box for the pages/cards instead of punching holes and stuff in them :)

And, just for good measurement (and to have that done with as well) – here’s a very few images from Christmas..(square images = iPhone)

desember 24, 2010-12

Classics on TV..

desember 24, 2010-18

Waiting for Godot the guests..

(I remember this part myself from when I was little, whenever there was a birthday or Christmas or anything big going down at home – this kitchen-window kept drawing us to it, looking, waiting, looking some more…while mom cooked around us kids)

desember-24,-2010-73

My stepfather with Amalie..

desember-24,-2010-121

And with Adrian..

(I ought to add a picture of mom here too, but she’s never happy with the photos of herself.. just like me…so…:p)

xmas

A collage of the evening, taken with the hipster-app on the iPhone.

desember-25,-2010-85

And I just need to add this one – my gorgeous, beautiful, all too grown up niece. I love you and am sorry I don’t really know how to talk to teenagers I love because I’m worried I’m one of these aunts who’s like, “oh, my, you’ve grown up kid” and then ask the obligatory stuff like school and boyfriends and then dunno what more to say..ugh. I do love you though!
