I really do adore this Luxe Designs-line "Ecology" - yum :)
The kids did a lot of things at the summerplace some weeks ago, including playing with the old boardgame "Den forsvunne diamant" (The missing diamond). I like watching the kids play peacefully together (ofc, Im their mom so Im supposed to I guess ;p) :)

Another thing I adore? 3d adhesive!!! :D Love making things pop out from the page - makes such a difference whenever you're like, outta ideas what to do to make the page look a lil more than okayish sorta :) I thought I had enough adhesive for a while but looks like I gotta restock the 3d ones soon :p

Tomorrow is the Norwegian Constitution Day and I'm just like "urgh". Lotsa people, gotta dress up the kids & me, walk w/the kids in the childrens parade and generally - endure crowds and stuff before I can escape home :p Ohwell. As long as the kids are having fun eh?

The product spotlight over at Fancy Pants Designs this week is on the Mixed Media Books - uhm - LOVES!!!!!!!!

The bracketed one is totally my fave - I've already made a minibook w/them (as seen here) and I saved two of the cardboard-pages for this project - door hangers for the kids :)

Adrians doorhanger: Fancy Pants Designs: Paper & diecut from "About a Boy", journalsheet from "Summer Soiree" (adhered on cardboard to make it more sturdy & dimensional for this purpose), chipboardstars & alphas from "The Daily Grind", ribbon&button from I don't recall which collection ;p. Oh ya. Watched Star Trek - YUMM :D Okay, there were a few "uh rite" moments here and there, but overall - a totally enjoyable experience. Loves :D

And then you make her sit still so you can take photos, natch ;p


And what do you do when you don't really own any useful vases in the house for the leftover flowers (cause flowers aren't really prioritized here, soz!) Well, you pick out one of the thousands empty jam-glasses that you save "just in case" (but really rarely rarely use) and dress it up somewhat, thats what! (Hm. Sounds somewhat funny. Can you say that - "that's what"??)

Simple and easy (emphasis on simple :P).

This is one of the three photos I submitted for EarthMosaic - a collage of photos all taken on Earth Day. I have yet to check if any of my images came with but I'd assume so.
I think the white, overblown sky looks kinda sad and wish I had bracketed this one..maybe. But then again, I'd never bother putting together bracketed shots. Laziness ftw!

Been a week since my last blogpost, which's an eternity according to the norm. Sorta.
It's been quite an intense week, w/husband at the hospital and all that hoopola, but luckily that one got a happy ending once the docs finally decided to do an op, w/him at home now and very quickly recovering - YAY!


Kk, over to the scrappy stuff! I finally got around to play w/my new Luxe stash - Ecology is such a lovely line!

This project has been on my mind for quite some while now -- but I didn't seem to find the time to do this until quite recently... I searched the web for possible templates for this for a few hours before giving up and deciding to make my own... I wanted a kind of card-box in which I could mail off little teabags to friends...small samples of tea I love....(and ofcourse, I'm outta all my fave-teas and only have the sucky tea left so I'm gonna have to wait with mailing this for a while - it's not nice mailing people tea you don't like yourself..I think...but then again, how will I ever get rid of these, hmm... and people do have different taste,..... :p)



Inside this card there's two mini-boxes with room for two teabags each :) LOVE the woodgrain-pattern on the inside here :) Making this template was much easier than I thought - just measured the teabags and drafted on a piece of paper before doing a real template-test on cardstock (which can be used over and over again for future projects) and finally using the cardstock-template to trace this upon the patterned paper :)

May means confirmation-season here in Norway and this is a card I made for my sister-in-law's oldest son. When I first started scrapbooking back like, 3-4 years ago, one of the coolest cards I saw back then was one that resembled a wallet. I haven't really seen one since then - maybe it was just a fad back then?? but anyways - figured it fit with the confirmation-theme and all (haha ;p). The wallets I saw back then were way more detailed and with more flaps (from what I can recall), but ohwell - I was just experimenting, and I didn't bother googling for templates. In retrospect I don't think I should have used the sewing machine here - didn't come out too well & ugly on the inside - rather maybe a ribbon folded over the edge or something instead, mhmm.. also, should have created a closure for the wallet, ahwell - next time!

And yes, thats chocolate-coins :p

Not sure whats up with my obsession of doing altered stuff/cards/random templatestuff atm. I do still scrap layouts too though!

What a great idea to store the work in that pocket. I am working on school days albums for my daughters and will have to do that. I love the Hambly frames...especially the vintage looking stuff.

(Convinced Sonja & Eli that jumping from the cliffiside would yield cool photos. They only jumped once, muttering some nonsense about it being scary. You'd figure that after this incident they'd know better uh? ;p)

On a more personal note - might not be around to update the blog too often atm - husband just went into hospital (nothing lifethreating - but very pain&stressful) and I'm totally exhausted. And I hate it because right now I also feel like scrapping lots. Figures. Jeje.

I felt like scrapping these pictures of my lovely & incredibly creative friend Banglamarie. She offered to make us cheeseicecake when we had a little weekend-cropping at Gry's summerplace, but every time I went inside the kitchen to take photos she was rather...tasting stuff instead of making ;p *giggle* Cute, love these photos :) :)

Me and Amalie had a mother-daughter date on sunday, watching the movie "Laban - verdens snilleste spøkelse" (worlds sweetest ghost), eating candy, and yeah - doing some photos. I LOVE these photos of our reflections. Man, do I look hot in high heels or what?? ;p *sigh* *loves* ;p And yes - I used the belt from my jacket for Amalie to hang on to - she was dragging me along most of the time, letting me know I should rather walk/run instead of taking photos ;P

Next weekend it's hopefully Adrians turn - I've got my eyes set on "Coraline" ;p

Mhmm - inside the theatre - ISO 6400 baby ;) And look, no noise ninja involved!! (yeah I'd prob run them thru noise ninja but actually - these photos arent that bad). Had to focus manually because it was so dark in the theatre (well, duh ;p + swapped between shutter-priority and manual metering) - darker than I thought cause we were so far away from the screen itself. Manual focusing + very very dark room (lookin thru the viewfinder wasn't that easy either) + wide wide aperture = tricky. Managed to pull some fairly ok photos too, yay :) (also deleted a lot of photos w/funny focuspoints ;p)

Wish I could practice reflection-shots more - but 1. kiddo didn't want me to 2. people around me prob thought I looked sorta weird - takin photos of the windows walking w/a kid draggin me along....mmm...I'd prob think so myself :p

I really am loving this slider at the top and am starting to see the possibilities -- sharing general infos, peeks and snippets of photos I love for the moment being and stuff...mm..good stuff :) As you may notice it now also contains info re. tomorrows NSD (Hambly Blog Hop! Yay! :) )..

   It took a while for this butterfly-craze to hit me, but in the end it did!! Am so in love with this Hambly-transparent- lots of yummy butterflies to cut out and it's in this lovely limegreen color!!!

   Stuff are blossoming. The days are lighter. Images are waiting to be taken.

Things to note/todo:

• Not sure if I like the current way the linkstuff is displayed - plus pondering about trying to trim the # of links...at least it gave me a chance to update some old links and stuff..
  
• I *think* this format is more heavy on the connection (aka will take some time loading - at least the first time) - which is why I am limiting the number of posts displayed at the frontpage to five at a time plus opted to not have a galleryslider/any blinkies and stuff. Really appreciate feedback from you on this one - does the blog take way too long to load - both first time and the fifth time when you return? Please do let me know so I can evaluate this template (although w/this much time I've put into it atm I don't think I'm gonna swap anytime soon :p)
• The comment-section is displayed at the top of the posts now - uh? I *think* I want it where it usually is at - the bottom - but can't figure it out in the html. Anyone knows - feel free to share ;p UM Vin over at the Blog-doctor ROCKS!!! When I couldn't find the right info for my template over at his blog he was so nice&quick to help me out in emails!! YAY!! Thank you so much!!
  
• I can't seem to edit the way the same comment-thingie is displayed (not at the frontpage at least - but I've customized how it looks inside the singleposts kinda) - I've seen several do so - please share any interesting info you've got if you feel like it.
  
• I miss the customized blogger"bar" at the top - the one allowing you to hit the dashboard / quickpost new posts /quickedit layout and stuff when logged in - not sure how to get it back? Added the dashboard manually at least..but would prefer to have the original thingie on top...Edit: it's intact in the "Layout->page elements"-section, called navbar and it's blue, at least here. Yet it doesn't show on the blog itself. Hm.
  Edit2: LOL. I added a metadata-tag at the wrong spot in the html-code and lo and behold, the bloggerbar showed itself. Do not ask me why or how - but guess I'll keep that metatag at the wrong place still...doesn't seem to do any harm anyways :p
  
• Need to find out how to edit the timer on the slide on top - prob in the javascript. On the todo-list for tomorrow. It kinda swaps stuffz a bit too fast for me liking....what do you think?
  I'm so good ;p. Figured this out (so easy, just had to actually look at the file ;p). Is the timer on the slider ok now? You can click on the "stop" next to the image to stop it.
  
• I'd like to add a "follower"-widget, but I don't really want to include who's following and stuff (kinda feels like a pissing-contest to me and it feels a bit awkward to me...or maybe rather embarassing ;p)....I'd love to make it easier for people to follow me if they want to though, so....any ideas? Anyone know the directlink to where to do that kinda - follow someones blog?
  Nevermind me again - figured this out. I *think*. Mind testing it for me? (you can unfollow if you want after I guess ;p) Just would like to know that the link I found actually works. Links both on the top of the blog and on one of the the sidebars. It's text-only.
  
• Suggestions to more stuff to add to the "Useless stuff about me" section? I was originally just thinking sb-related stuff like contact and stuff, in case people missed the top bars ;p
• Anything else I've forgotten? I'd really appreciate feedback here folks ;p

And for those wondering: This is a free template called Zinmag Primus 2.0 by FalconHive.com- you can find the template here :) It's a bit of work customizing - but way easier than Zinmag Primus 1.0 which I first downloaded and started tweaking until I found out they released a newer, easier version ;p

NB! If you are uploading the blog-images to photobucket, make sure you upload them in the largest resolution possible (1024x786px 17" screen) to prevent garbling/problems w/images.

And I just can't post w/o photos so....
