~~ Hamblys NSD-BlogHop w/giveaway :) ~~

Posted by Ania On Saturday, May 02, 2009

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!! :)
And welcome to the bloghoppers ;)

I'd like to share a Hambly-layout and some cards first if you don't mind - before we get down to the business why the majority of you are here I guess :) Please bear with me :)

The little one loves to draw and cut out her own drawings.
And I love to take pictures of her doing so ;)
Thing is - stuff usually get lost after a while so I figured I'd
safekeep some of them on this layout :)

Materials used: Hambly papers - Woodgrain (teal blue ink on bronze - LOVE this one!!!!), Hanging Heliconias (White Ink on Lemon Lime textured paper) and rubons - these are real classics btw: Vintage Motifs (black) and Stars (red) and kraft-stickers - Vintage Journal Bits and Alphabet.
Other stuff include Prima flowers&pebble, MM alpha (ampersand) and Heidi Swapp numbers. AND! I simply *adore* my Fiskars borderpunches - Upper Crest and Apron Lace!!! *loves*

To safekeep the drawings and cutouts I created a pocket
out of cardstock, covered it with patterned paper and adhered
it to the background after rubbing off some rubons on it to
make it look like they came from under the pocket.

Love to do this w/drawings, ephemera and cards :)

Window-card made w/Hambly Frame Wallpaper
(this is my fave color-combo :) ), Hambly Kraft Sticker,
brown cardstock, satin-ribbon & a Prima-pebble.

Another simple window-card created with kraft cardstock,
Hambly rubons -
Textures one and Elegant Labels, and letters from Adornit.

Oh lookie. Another card :p Last one I promise :)
Lilac and kraft cardstock,
Hambly bordersticker (love that it's transparent :) ), Hambly Frame Wallpaper Overlay, Hambly Two-Tone paper and Hambly Stars Rubon :) I plan to keep this card for fast customization and just add the name or age or whatev to the frame when I need the card :)

Right! Sorry for the Hambly-spam ;) Back to business! :)

I am sure you'll find a plethora of activities around the net to keep you occupied today should you chose to stay at home and scrapbook :) At Hambly Screenprints we are doing a NSD BlogHop today - where 10x 15$ gift-certificates (one gc per person :) ) will be given away for you to spend as you like in their yummy store full of Hambly-goddess!! :) :)

And if you'd like to increase your chances of winning, all you have to do is to pay a visit to the following DT-blogs and leave a comment at each of them in the appointed blogpost - you'll have until sunday 3rd at 11.59pm PST - we'll draw winners on monday or something like that :)

Some more Hambly-news, bulletstyle:

  • Did you know that Hambly is on Twitter and Facebook? :)
(me too by the way...well, at least on sorta pretty inactive on fb ;p ) Anyways - feel free to join up to stay updated on Hambly-news :)
  • Hambly is going digi - at least somewhat :) Check out Hambly over at Scrapblog :)

  • Every purchase in the Hambly store for over $50 through Sunday May 3rd will receive a $10 NSD grab bag ($10 worth of Hambly products)!!! No need to add it you cart, it will be automatically be shipped in your order!

  • If contests are your thing - don't forget the 2peas+Hambly contest - more information can be found here - you have until May 16th :)

Oh. One last thing.
You can comment on whatever you want here - you know - to get a chance to win a 15$ giftcard to spend in the Hambly-store -- but if you don't mind I'd love to know what you like with Hambly. Personally I am pretty in love with this butterfly-transparency in lime-green (did I mention this already? ;p) - I seem to try sneak the butterflies in on all my projects atm :) And another thing I love w/Hambly is that you can get the same designs in various colors and materials - paper/transparency/rubon - it makes it easy and fun to create interesting depths on your layouts, like here and here :)

♥Thanks for reading all the way to the bottom, and have a lovely NSD :)

Ok, so my absolute fav hambly anything has to be the birdcages! Transparancies, rubons, whatever! Loving the chandeliers too, but the bird cages rock my world!
