~~ unconditional love ~~

I have to thank Banglamarie for this wonderful challenge - to scrap a happy page about someone and say a few words about him/her. I don't know if it's "happy" - it's more serene.....but it was her words about writing a few nice things about the person on the picture that triggered me and made me think of this picture. See, I've had this picture printed out for some time now but haven't gotten around to actually scrap it... her challenge made me want to scrap it like, immediately, so here it is :) The person on the picture is my father in law, who passed away half a year after Adrian was born. He was a kind and helpful man who made me feel welcome from the very beginning when I first started dating Simen...and who always had time to help out even though he had a pretty busy timetable himself (an example: I hate spiders. And I'm afraid of them. So when I discovered a spider in my bathroom I managed to trap it...but didn't know what else to do..Simen was in England...I was all alone...with a spider in my bathroom...trapped in an upside down empty jar....AND with the doors shut..like..just in case...so I called to my father in law...who laughed and came down ten minutes after to help me get rid of it...:p). Adrian is his fourth grandson and I'm very glad that they got a little time together...and I'm sad that Adrian won't get to know him...that he didn't live to see me and Simen get married...or see his very first (and for now, only :p) girl-grandchild. Ofcourse, I coudln't help but to sneak in a DW2007 challenge on this one: use something non-scrapbooky in the title.

Adding a layout that was published in the february number of "Ett Trykk", where we were supposed to make our own backgroundpaper/pp. I chose to use teared & distressed newspaper. The layout is about my wish to travel abroad....me and Simen only...like in the good old days before the kids ;) (oh yeah...don't have kids? go! travel! experience! things just aren't the same with children :p)

Tusen takk for utfordringen Banglamarie!

"But the bad news," he said "Girl you're a dandelion."
Dandelion. Hey I need to think about that.
