~~ Layouts of 2012 ~~

So. Last top10 edition for 2012. Layouts!

I adore the graphical stamps from Craft Origine. So pretty!

Also adore mixing mist splatters with liquid pearls and gems..

Tried a sort of colorblocking here. Sorta worked.

Think I love this one mostly because of the photo. Me & my grandma. Isn’t this the reason why we do this? Because of the photos and the memories they evoke?

Sidenote: Made a calendar as gift for my closest this year. (Every year I keep thinking I should use my photos as gifts, and 95% of the time I don’t…sigh..kinda silly..). Added this photo to one of the months for my March or something like that…so when she was flipping through the months, this was her initial reaction when seeing this photo:

_DSC0191-copyand then this:

_DSC0193-copy Love her reaction – weights up for my doubts about adding a photo of myself in the calendar..I’ve been better this year at putting me inside the frames once in a while..even though I (usually) dislike it.

Love this one because of the journaling…I actually added lots of journaling to a layout!

Loved the papers, slightly bummed I only got the 6x6” inch pad, but hey, it works doing layouts w/these too :p

Sort of like this one because the backgroundpaper (only 2nd time I’ve used this Back to School-collection from Pink Paislee, even though I love that collection) and two – love the lyrics (Maria Mena).

Lots and lots of snowflakes! yay! Plus, spot that very very very very old Heidi Swapp chipboard heart? Oh yeah…

Think I like this one because of the photo and the title…

And this one I love because of the fun papers & the photos :)

Conclusion when seeing my fave layouts: I prefer using one sheet of patterned paper as my background..preferrably one w/slight graphical background (one or twotone)..then just layer stuff behind my photos..I feel I usually do multiphoto-layouts (between two and four photos) – but apparently I’m also fond of single photo layouts…funny…

Ahwell…Happy New Year and stuff..I’m now ready to fill the blog w/new 2013-stuff!

~~ Minis of 2012 ~~

Posted by Ania On Sunday, December 30, 2012 1 lovely comments

Didn’t make that many minis, but hey, gotta show’em off too =)

A gift for my niece…

*love* these 3x3x3 memory box mini books from Maya Road!

Makes it so fun creating minis!

I love this particular detail from this mini…

Hmm don’t think I’ve shared this one here actually…it’s a mini from the Christening of my nephew..

Hmm..that pretty much sums it up..have made a few others, but uhm, they’re not like, faves …which’s the purpose of these posts, no? =)

~~ Alterables of 2012 ~~

Again, in no particular order…nor limited number..

the alterables of 2012…

*Love* this Dear Lizzy-collection! So girlie & cute! All the embellishments made it easy to put together this exploding box..

I’m quite fond of the way this jar w/Sea Salt & Honey Caramel sauce turned out…the mix of the different fabrics  - burlap, tulle, broad ribbon, twine, felt and velvet really played well together here..

I made this banner for Maya Roads CHA-summer exhibition. It’s actually a part of four different banners using different materials; this one w/chipboard, mist & glitter is my favorite of them all..

Just look at the way the iridescent glitter shows off the mists so well!

This booklet however, was created for the CHA-W exhibition..also for Maya Road..

I simply adore the broad organza sad it’s discontinued!

Inside – portraits of the kids…fits well on the mantel…or book shelf…

Altered making these…this ones’s for my beloved grandma…

Another box – a homemade one this time…made this so it’d hold a few pieces of chocolate..

A pretty little tree made of Prima roses :)

Love this angle ..

An Easter-egg for my sister..

A box/card for a colleague..

More boxes..

Hmm…sure..I’ve made quite a few boxes and stuff this year, yeah..

~~ Cards of 2012 ~~

Posted by Ania On Saturday, December 29, 2012 2 lovely comments

In no particular fave 10 cards for 2012..

See the largest flower on the card? One of my fave flowers from Prima, and one that I’m hoarding…sigh..need to use more…it’s so pretty! Also, weaving a paper heart is pretty and yields a very cute look..must do that more whenever I’m outta ideas and in a hurry when creating cards!

I simply love that backgroundpaper from Prima…the postage stamp one… also, love mixing larger and smaller flowers & tickets!

Again…mixing different flowers + gems = pretty!

You don’t even have to use flower-flowers…just fuzzy cut/die cut flowers from a sheet of paper and layer them beneath something. Like on this card w/papers and stamp from Pink Paislee :)

Love that star punch from Martha Stewart…my most recent this one because it’s using papers from like, 2006 or so…classic Basic Grey :) And as (almost) always w/babycards I need to add transparency from Hambly..either the onesie one or the elephant one :)

I sort of like this one, but am not quite sure how pretty it is…it’s a bit simple…but then again…a glittery golden hexagon? Add a very minimalist (and trendy) colorscheme… Mmm..sold..

Adding this card because it’s one of those that didn’t turn as envisioned yet you sort of like it because it’s created by weird odds and ends..sorta..

Another babycard! Love this one because of the glittery star thingie here!! It totally makes the whole card!

Sure, it’s small..but pretty *smile* Also, see that canvas butterfly? One of my absolute favorites from Prima….so versatile, so handy, so pretty!

And I suppose..this really is one of my very very favorite card this year…everything clicked for this card…plus, the person who got this card is such a lovely colleague so I was truly happy that this card turned out this pretty (imho ofc ;)) for her =)
